PORTLAND LIGHT RAIL
View Through the Cab

Rain had not fallen in the Portland area for weeks at the time of this August scene, but the skies opened up a bit at an unfortunate time for those participating in TriMet's public art tour.  It was early one evening, before the line began regular service.

Each station on the Green Line as it heads south from Gateway/NE 99th Ave. Transit Center has some form of art. Seven artists were selected to provide works under the themes of "Signposts, Symbols and Settlement Stories."   At SE Division St. the meandering blue fencing is the art.  A portion of it, "Sky to Earth" by Carolyn Law, is visible in this image.
