PITTSBURGH LIGHT RAIL
New Vehicle on the Library Line

The Siemens-Duewag vehicles seen on most of the previous pages in the series represented the "new" Pittsburgh vehicles when the system was rehabilitated in the 1980s.  In June 2004, the next generation of rail vehicles entered service.  These cars are manufactured by Construcciones Y Auxiliar De Ferrocarriles, S.A. and CAF USA, Inc.  New trains were still relatively infrequently spotted when this photo was taken on the Library line late in that first month of service.
