This view is from the First Ave. overpass, and
shows how close that station is to Panhandle Bridge.
This stop was added considerably after the subway began
serving downtown, and there are signs of much growth in the area.
On the other side of the Monongahela River one can make out the structures
carrying overhead wires for the main routes to the right, and for
a bit of the 52 Allentown line, heading up the hillside to the left. |
