PHILADELPHIA LIGHT RAIL
 Way Station

The third-rail power supply is quite evident in this photo taken mid-route on the Norristown High-Speed Line.  Many of the lesser stations along the way are very modest affairs.  Patrons waiting to board use a signaling device to alert the next approaching train.  And fare collection is handled on-board.

A second branch of the P&W once went to Strafford.  There has been recent discussion about significantly expanding the Norristown route.
