This final view in the St. Charles
Streetcar section of this series shows the front
portion of a car on its very short stretch along Canal St.
Wide doors are on both sides of the vehicle, and the operator has an
ample
view through multiple windows. Unlike more modern systems, there are
no platform ticket machines on the RTA rail routes. The operator is
responsible for assuring proper passenger entry, supported by a pass, transfer, or
exact fare placed into the on-board farebox. |
