Many older buildings line Canal St. as it moves away
from the river. Many famous department stores were once located
in the area, but the trendy shopping zone is now much closer to the
Mississippi. The switch from the St. Charles Streetcar line is
visible ahead, somewhat in front of the inbound streetcar. |
