A streetcar pokes up next to a grave marker and
behind a chain-link fence in this view taken from within one of the
several cemeteries near the terminal area. Nearby street
traffic is very busy, but there is a calmness as one walks around
the plots. Tombs in New Orleans are
famously above-ground because of the area's low-lying topography.
This is the last page in this section, but the next section also
contains some views of the Canal Streetcar during the portion of its
run shared with the Riverfront line. |
