HUDSON-BERGEN LIGHT RAIL
From Port Imperial Blvd.

The newest Hudson-Bergen line runs west and north seven stations from Hoboken Terminal to Tonnelle Ave. in North Bergen Township.  Two of the stops, Lincoln Harbor and Port Imperial are close to the Hudson River.  As is the case further south along the route, there has been, and is, massive land use renewal going on.

The Palisades present a barrier to the west, which the line overcomes by using an old railroad tunnel located north of this view.  Close to the location of this scene taken from Port Imperial Blvd., Amtrak's Northeast Corridor trains and intense commuter service pass below in the two tubes that run under the Hudson.  And beyond the rise in the rails one can see part of the looping roadway that takes Lincoln Tunnel Traffic to and from the west.
