In this view at Marin Blvd. a train
waits for a disabled run ahead to clear the way. The motorman
had suggested it would probably be quicker to walk the remainder of the route
-- the last stop was then at Exchange Pl.
There were vacant lots of
torn-down commerce, some blocks of row houses being renewed, newer high
rises, a nearby marina and park and views of Ellis Island and the Statue
of Liberty. It was, and is, an interesting and rapidly changing area. |
