HOUSTON LIGHT RAIL
Terminal Bumper

A sturdy bumper marks the end of this track at UH-Downtown.  Planning is underway to extend the line, initially, one half mile to the north to a new intermodal transit facility.  One day in the not too distant future this scene may have historic interest.

Patrons in this view are lined up to use the fare machine.  It's a fairly easy device to use, as these things go.  METRORail uses platform machines and retention of proof-of-payment, similar to most of the other newer light rail systems in the country.
