The short private right of way south of Wheeler
connects the Main St. portion of the line with two parallel streets
with lanes reserved for one-way Red Line rails.
Outbound trains travel diagonally one block to reach Fannin St.
Inbound trains come from one further block to the east, San Jacinto.
In this view the train for UH-Downtown is just about to leave its
right-lane running. It must cross over the traffic portion of
San Jacinto; the gate is down, traffic signals are red, and warning lights are flashing. |
