HOUSTON LIGHT RAIL
Main Street Square

Automated on-board announcements advise of each next and approaching station, with some of the commentary in both English and Spanish.  On at least one outbound run a couple of months after the system opened, each such burst was decidedly out of synch with the location of the train.  It caused some amusement for those passengers "in the know," and likely some confusion for the others aboard.

This view is at Main Street Square, northbound platform.  Panels of light display changing pastel colors from their sidewalk poles.

All the streets in downtown Houston run askew from cardinal directions.  "Northbound" on Main St. is actually slanted quite a bit to the northeast.
