This photo is from the open-air observatory atop
Reunion Tower. It was a brisk and windy early March day and I
wasn't particularly inclined to linger. The former Texas
School Book Depository is the prominent building in the right center
of the scene. One DART train is on the "triple overpass," and
another is about to enter.
Busy freight trackage branches off
to the left. Trinity Railroad Express heads to the northwest
under a major highway. Construction is much in evidence for
the first short piece of the DART Northwest Corridor. |
