There aren't too many places in North America
where a station platform allows access on the one side to a city's
light rail system and on the other side to a metropolitan area's
commuter rail line, but Union Station in Dallas is one such example.
The southbound light rail is to the left. A train of Trinity
Railroad Express bi-level coaches is waiting to the right.
A
two-zone all-day pass allows a person unlimited riding on DART light
rail and buses, and also on the full 35 mile or so commuter line to
Forth Worth. At $4.50, it's a good transit bargain.
