Unlike all the other photos in this series so
far, this view dates to shortly after the line opened in 1981.
It was taken from upstairs at Anderson, then the southern terminal
for the single line that went to downtown.
Track for a major CP freight line is seen adjacent to the light rail
route, as it is much of the way south from center city.
A much less-developed version of the Calgary skyline shows in the
far distance. |
