BOSTON LIGHT RAIL
Station Along the Way

A small, rustic-looking station is just ahead in this photo as PCCs meet on the Mattapan High Speed Line.  The right of way follows the outer end of a former New Haven branch, and trolley service dates to the 1920s.  The entire route is but two and one-half miles or so in length.  It has been reworked and upgraded at least a couple of times, but the old cars still run here, a short piece of real transit history.
