BALTIMORE LIGHT RAIL
Single Track at Linthicum

When it was constructed in the 1990s significant portions of the light rail system were limited to a single track, with provision made for expansion as funding would permit.  A major project during the next decade accomplished  double-tracking over most of the territory.  Only about 2.6 miles of the thirty or so route miles remain single-track.

This scene shows the set of rails at Linthicum which originally carried trains heading both inbound and outbound.
