The Ybor City section of Tampa had a rich earlier
history as a manufacturing town, once key in a flourishing Florida cigar industry.
The heart of today's entertainment district lies
one block south of, and parallel to, the streetcar route, and extends seven or eight
blocks along 7th Ave.

Society Station (15th St). A large community college is
located to the north, on the fringe of the tourist district. |
