DALLAS HERITAGE RAIL
Cityplace Ending

DART began modern-day light rail service in the Dallas area in 1996.  A long subway extends north of downtown, with the Cityplace station along the way as the only underground stop.  The M-Line was extended to reach that station starting in 2002, bringing the total length of the heritage route to over three miles.

In this view the motorman is gliding his car to a stop along the single-track ending at Cityplace.  A streetcar recently brought in from a quirky Fort Worth operation is parked and out of service at the very end of the rails.  Subway station access is from within the structure ahead to the left.
