Neons for Pershing Square

Pershing Square features for its art a variety of brightly lit tubing, neon and otherwise, of which this view shows but a portion.  The installation is entitled "Neon for Pershing Square Station," and was created by Stephen Antonakos in 1993.  We are told that it commemorates the nearby location of the first neon sign in the United States, lit up in 1924.

Part of an inbound train can be seen to the right.  It has but two further stations to reach the Union Station terminal.
