University Circle

University Circle, three stations east of the downtown stop, is a major traffic generator for the Red Line.  The large campus of Case Western Reserve University is close by, and various cultural venues and parks are not too far off.  The rights of way of competing railroads, Norfolk Southern and CSX (once Nickel Plate and New York Central), are adjacent to the line here.

News headlines and other messages are presented to waiting passengers.  This view looks west along a mostly empty platform.  There is perhaps something a bit forlorn to this late November scene.
