The newer route of the Waterfront Light Rail Extension
heads down to street level west of the Tower City-Public Square station,
while the Red Line tracks stay up high, and curve south to cross the river. The massive road
bridge to the right carries road traffic across the Cuyahoga, and once
upon a time carried streetcars on its lower level. At midday
headways don't tax the rail capacity on either route. There is
much time for the observer to contemplate the surroundings. |
