The Red Line train is in this photo is framed by the Charles River,
Longfellow Bridge, the Beacon Hill section of Boston, and downtown buildings
beyond.
The fare to ride most of the "T" subway system is a relatively
modest, as these things go these days, $1.25. The
exception to this is for the farther stations on the Braintree
Branch, for which a double fare is charged. An all-day pass
good for heavy rail, light rail, buses, and the inner portion of the
commuter rail network costs $7.50. |
