The latest BART extension opened in
mid-2003. It added four stations south of Colma on the San
Francisco side of the Bay, with branches to the Airport and to Millbrae. The
large and somewhat futuristic station at Millbrae, partially pictured in
this scene, allows passengers easy transfer to and from
Caltrain commuter rail.
There are 43 stations on BART, roughly equally
divided in number among subway, surface and elevated locations. |
