highest on any heavy rail system in the country. A single
journey
can wind up costing as much as
$8.00, that highest fare being for travel between San Francisco Airport and Pittsburg/Bay Point.
Passengers use a
stored-value fare card for access to and egress from the system; it
can be something of a shock to see the available balance go down after a
