This view is again from my favorite American route, U.S. 40.  The scene is from near Lafayette, Ohio, taken on a rainy evening.  The road in these parts has been mainly supplanted by Interstate 70, a mile or so away.  The old divided highway is a joy, a pure and lonely joy to travel.
